As these have honey in them, they are really only suitable for children over one. These are great energy boosters and perfect for the afternoon energy slump!
Ingredients
2 ripe bananas
1 apple (any!)
12 tbsp rolled oats
60g sultanas
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp Mixed Spice
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180c
Grate the apple (don’t worry about peeling it). Squeeze the excess liquid from the grated apple (just use some kitchen roll over the sink; works a treat!)
Mash the bananas with a fork
Mix all ingredients together well
Lightly grease a baking tray
Roll balls of the mixture (it’ll be quite sticky and wet, but that’s fine; it’s how it’s meant to be!) and press down onto the baking tray to make cookie shapes. Keep going until you are out of mixture
Bake for approx. 25-30 minutes, until they are golden brown on top
These are wonderful for little ones, but also a treat for the grown ups too. No refined sugar, and they contain fruit so, win win!
